Right hand side

(Redirected from RHS)

The right hand side (RHS) of an equation, inequality or other relation is the expression that occurs to the right of the relation symbol. The abbreviation "RHS" is sometimes used in proofs, when we don't want to write out the entire equation again.

For example, in $\cos( x + y ) = \cos x \cos y - \sin x \sin y$ the RHS would be $\cos x \cos y - \sin x \sin y$.
