Four is a positive integer preceding five and following three on the number line.

Properties

  • Four is a perfect square and is equivalent to $2^2$.
  • The Four-color Theorem states that four is the largest integer such that any map can be colored using that number of colors and no two regions of the map share a border and have the same color.
