Which of the following is the same as

\[\frac{2-4+6-8+10-12+14}{3-6+9-12+15-18+21}\]?

Solution

\begin{align*} 2-4+6-8+10-12+14=-2-2-2+14&=8\\ 3-6+9-12+15-18+21=-3-3-3+21&=12\\ \frac{2-4+6-8+10-12+14}{3-6+9-12+15-18+21}&=\frac{8}{12}=\frac{2}{3} \Rightarrow \text {(C)} \end{align*}
