The American Math Challenge is an online mathematics competetion run by the Australian based company, Mathletics. While targeted to the younger of the math followers, this program emphasizes mental math computation, pitting students agains students from around the country, in short, one minute games testing the students' speed. While they do not track wins or losses, the will give you information about: Games Played High Score Recent Average Accuracy

In the past there have been 5 different levels of problems, ranging from simple 1+4, where the answers are no more than 20, to a more arduous setting where there are mixed operations with numbers up to 150.

Standings are recorded in a Hall of Fame, usually abbreviated HOF. Each question answered correctly is woth one point in multiplayer-play.

This year, there are two days set up for the competition. The first one is based on their curriculum program. These are based on grade level, and you do it on your own. Each question is worth 10 points, and a perfect score on a regular activity gets you 100. On tests, however many questions there will be, the maximum score is 600.

The second day will be on the match play described above. There may or may not be a limit to the number of games allowed to be played this year.
