Qualification for the Connecticut ARML Team is via a test known as the ARML Runoff. The test is given at various locations in the state in early March and consists of 24 questions given in two one-hour sections.

The students selected for the team then participate in two practices held on Saturday mornings in mid-May. Three teams of 15 students go to the ARML contest at Penn State.

-The Connecticut ARML team is currently being coached by Dan Bocchichio. Connecticut sends three teams and has two practices a year, traditionally at Hamden Hall High School and Xavier High School. Its team is selected by an ARML runoff, which is coordinated by the various high school mathematics leagues throughout Connecticut.
