Qualification for the Connecticut ARML Team is via the Connecticut ARML Qualification Test. In pre-COVID times the test was given at various locations in the state in early March. Student selection for the team was then announced during the Connecticut state math meet (CSAML).
  
The Connecticut ARML team is currently being coached by Dan Bocchichio. Connecticut sends three teams and has two practices a year, traditionally at Hamden Hall High School and Xavier High School. Its team is selected by an ARML runoff, which is coordinated by the various high school mathematics leagues throughout Connecticut.

The ARML Runoff is a 24 question, induvidual and timed competition such of the nature alike to the AMCs.

In 2022, the ARML Qualification Test will be given online on March 10th. Registration for the test will close on March 3rd. For those who qualify for the team there will be two practices and two team selection tests. All four of these events will be held on Saturday mornings, online.
