The Power of a Point theorem expresses the relation between the lengths of two lines intersecting at a point and a circle. If $AB$ and $CD$ are two chords on a circle that intersect inside the circle at point $X$, then we have $AX\times XB = CX\times XD$. This theorem is frequently used on competitions such as the AIME.
