RedFlame2112, commonly known as "Red" is an 18 year old who has been on the website since 2013. Staying low on forums for quite a bit due to the pressures of high school, he eventually came back during the COVID pandemic and rapidly started making a massive impact on forums and user communities. Thanks to AoPS, he scored DHR on the AMC in 9th grade, yet missed the JMO cutoff by a few points.

Besides math, which is his favorite subject, Red greatly enjoys coding and writing. He is fluent in Java, C#, SQL, RobotC, Swift, HTML, CSS, JS, and Python to name a few languages. He's really into artificial intelligence and machine learning, his most recent project being developing a chatbot from scratch for his school's website. Red is currently working on writing a novel with a few of his friends from AoPS, as well as one by himself. He has also written a myriad of short stories and fan-fictions by himself and won local writing competitions at the district level.

Red is currently studying CS at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. He plans to do research in Quantum Computing in order to pursue a possible PhD after high school.

Within mathematics, Red's favorite subjects are probability theory, linear algebra, group theory, measure theory, and number theory.

In his spare time, Red loves playing his violin, jamming out on the electric guitar, playing set, roasting faulty arguments, making animations, and making memes. His favorite animal is the orca, although he's quite content with his cat :)
