The sheriff is an admin who monitors AoPS(Like all admins do) and sends private messages to stop people from posting inappropriate content on the forums. We should thank the sheriff for deleting inappropriate content, because he/she makes AoPS forums a good forum, not a place for bad words to be passed on. Thanks, sheriff!
