The sheriff is a bunch of admins who monitor AoPS(Like all admins do) and stops people from posting inappropriate content on the forums by sending private messages.

The sheriff is the police.

The sheriff is controlled by the Sheriff Team.

We should thank the sheriff for deleting inappropriate content, because they make AoPS a good place, not a place for bad words to be passed on. Thanks, AoPSSheriff, for everything you do!!
