I suggest you don't make edits that consist of inserting and deleting empty lines of space.  It has no effect on the articles themselves and it clutters the "recent changes" page.  &mdash;Boy Soprano II 00:18, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
:Sorry; I was trying to make them appear better. You can select "Hide minor edits" if you don't want it to be "cluttered"... I like pie 00:26, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
:I see.  Well, I'm glad you're trying to make the wiki look better, but the wiki ignores spaces under section headings anyway, so some of your edits really had no effect.  For instance, there is not a pixel's difference between <url>Wiki/index.php?title=2003_IMO_Problems/Problem_2&oldid=25374 this</url> and <url>Wiki/index.php?title=2003_IMO_Problems/Problem_2&oldid=25375 this</url>.  I usually put a space after a section title because I think it makes the code easier to read and edit, but it doesn't really matter.  But don't you think that such edits seems a little wasteful of memory space, if of nothing else?  The server does save a copy of every version of every article. Why is my contributions page empty? --I_like_pie 01:46, 1 November 2006 (EST)
That's an excellent question, and I don't have a clue :-)  --JBL 12:02, 2 November 2006 (EST)
Fixed, finally --Rrusczyk 16:29, 7 December 2006 (EST)
Is there a page with a list of Postulates and Theorems? If not, I'll make one. --I_like_pie 21:02, 1 November 2006 (EST)
Now there's a "You have new messages" thing at the top the main page (actually, any page), but I've read my messages already... --I_like_pie 21:43, 2 November 2006 (EST)
The underscores in your username is the problem with being able to see your contributions.  Mr. Rusczyk's looking into it.  The program for the wiki wasn't intended to have usernames with underscores but we wanted to make the wiki compatible for users from AoPS to just log in with their AoPS sn.  So the wiki software has to be hacked to work with underscores in names correctly... --Joe 12:43, 7 November 2006 (EST)
Oh, I didn't think it was that complicated. If it's too much of a problem, I don't mind, I was just wondering. --I_like_pie 19:20, 7 November 2006 (EST)

Hi, about the centering issue, you might want to see here. <font style="font-family:Georgia,sans-serif">Azjps (<font color="green">talk</font>)</font> 20:48, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
Cmath tags get automatically converted to double dollar signs, which don't work. :( --I like pie 23:48, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
:Hmm, according to Valentin the double dollar signs do work, except for old browsers like IE6 (which I use, so the double dollars don't work on my browser). What browser do you use? <font style="font-family:Georgia,sans-serif">Azjps (<font color="green">talk</font>)</font> 20:50, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
::Firefox I'm pretty sure it's not the browser because it works just fine on the forums. Example:
::That's with double dollar signs. :( --I like pie 01:55, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
:::Unfortunately, I think the coding behind the cmath in the wiki and on the forums is slightly different. It would be nice if someone else could jump into this discussion and confirm whether or not this is a browser-related issue; if not, then we should ask Valentin to fix it. <font style="font-family:Georgia,sans-serif">Azjps (<font color="green">talk</font>)</font> 20:01, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
:::: I'm not sure exactly what this discussion is about, but if it helps any, the equation I like pie has written is properly formatted but not centered on my Firefox 1.0.7.  --JBL 21:25, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
:::::That's exactly what the problem is. That equation is supposed to be centered because it's between double dollar signs, but it isn't. The discussion started with me using center tags to center LaTeX since neither double dollar signs nor cmath tags work. --I like pie 22:52, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
:Wait, so just checking, do the double dollars work now (so that I'll go back to using them)? I use IE6 and the monobook skin so there's no way I can tell. ;) <font style="font-family:Georgia,sans-serif">Azjps (<font color="green">talk</font>)</font> 01:36, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
::Yes, they work with the ML and AoPS skins. MonoBook doesn't work yet (I prefer it over the others, but I'm not using it now to avoid messing stuff up), but you can go back to using double dollar signs. :) I like pie 01:40, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
