Writing scholarships

The following list of writing scholarships — scholarships granted based primarily upon a submitted essay — is primarily for American students. This list can be reorganized to incorporate scholarship programs in other countries. Just make that reorganization as clear and as clean as possible.
Additions to this list are welcomed and encouraged. Please don't be stingy about letting students in on how they can finance their educations!
General Writing Scholarships
- Sacramento “Art of Healing” Scholarship 2021 Rather than writing a traditional essay, we would like for students to submit an original piece of artwork that captures “The Art of Healing.” This piece can be any creative medium including but not limited to sculpture, video, painting, mosaic, poem, or photo.
