first time and certainly an interesting experience
friday
saturday
friday
arrived at Reno at around noon, went to the dorms and unpacked. Forgot to bring shampoo and stuff but luckily a chaperone let us borrow theirs. Started the dorm relay but was interrupted by a team meeting where we did an indiv and super relay. We were allowed to work together so I partnered with joshy and a friend who lwk sucks at math. indiv sucked and we all died, joshy gave up on super relay which was partially painful but we got there eventually. We had dinner and went down to team round
team round
power round
we went back, played cards, calculated how long it’ll take for us to die of overheating, and showered. my roommates and I started an uno flip game at like 9 but it ended up lasting until 11:30pm, oops
team round
so I kinda didn’t care about these cuz I got put on the b team even though I’m most likely better than half the a team
anyways, I did nothing of use cuz I did p7 but added an extra
which messed up a probability, then I tried p4 for two minutes and got something dumb
we got a 2 (1 and 3 correct)

power round
I was slightly more useful (got 1b, 3, 4c, and 6b) but died trying to do 4a and 7, we ended up getting p10 right but still sold (4c turned out to be wrong)

saturday
woke up at 5:30 since my body hates me, so I would be functioning off of 6 hours of sleep which is not ideal. Had breakfast which consisted of eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and a muffin that tasted like a marshmallow. we walked to indivs and started late cuz sfba1 was taking their sweet time. since we were running behind, the “set 5 incident” already happened
individual round
immediately after was relay where I absolutely sold where you’re getting in the next post cuz I’m too demotivated rn
individual round
got 1 and 2 almost immediately, unfortunately my roommate who also got 6 hours of sleep did
instead of
on p2. 3 was a sub-minute solve and I did 4 in a stupid computation heavy method but it worked. somehow no one else on my team got 4 correct which goes to show how cooked we were. set 3 was where drowsiness began to affect me. I actually got 6 before 5 after struggling to find side lengths. came back to 5 and realized I missed a parameter and solved it with minimal difficulty. 7 was trivial except I thought that
luckily I realized my mistake and fixed it with 3 minutes to spare, but didn’t have time to do 8
