k Classroom Down

Hello, currently my class 3870 Calculus is displaying a "Unable to connect to database" error. I'm on MacOS 15.1, and other websites still work, so it's not that. Is there an internal issue happening right now? Is it just me? All other parts of the website are working, albeit a bit slow.

k [RESOLVED] Wrong User Calculus Book
WheatNeat   7
N Sep 22, 2024 by Demetri
Recently I asked my parents for the calculus textbook and my mum bought it for me while I was at school today. However, it asked for a username afterwards, and my mum didn't know what to put so she put down "kevin", my actual name. So now I'm pretty sure the guy with the username "kevin" got a free calculus book (online book). Is there anyway the purchase can be refunded or put onto my account?

k Getting access to a class page longer

N Mar 27, 2024 by redelephant876
Howdy!

I'm in Calculus 3556. I remember seeing something that said if I email someone, I can ask for longer access to the course page? I would like to have the materials from class up until I take the AP Exam in mid May. I'm assuming I would need to email Student Services? Would that be studentservices@aops.com?

Thanks!

k Laptop Problem with the AoPS Calculus class page
redelephant876   13
N Aug 29, 2023 by redelephant876
Summary of the problem: So I've been trying to do my Calculus assignments, but the page is being weird. All it does is show me the status of the first problem, and not the problem itself, or anything below that. See the attached images. I've refreshed, hard refreshed, restarted my computer, and all the typical things. However, when i pulled this up on my phone and my desktop, and it worked just fine.
Page URL: here's the link
Steps to reproduce:
1. Go to 3556 Calculus. (Note, only the mods, admins, and my classmates will be able to do this)
2. Click the Homework tab
Expected behavior: It should show all of the problems, but it doesn't.
Frequency: Every time
Operating system(s): Windows 11, HP+ Laptop
Browser(s), including version: Chrome, latest version
Additional information: This is not a problem with zooming, ratios, etc. I had changed nothing on my computer when this happened except for a few minor computer updates, which shouldn't have affected this. My Phone is an android, and the desktop is a Dell, if that helps any...

k Preview before submitting challenge problems is gone
C-123Math   4
N Aug 19, 2023 by C-123Math
Hello,
I have just started the AoPS Calculus course, and when submitting an answer for challenge problems, I am unable to see a preview of my answer, so there is no way to check if my latex is correct. In past classes I have been able to do this. Is this a new feature or something specific to the class, or is there something else I have to do to see the preview?
Thanks

k How long do AOPS writing problems allow you to edit after the deadline
Mathboy345   14
N May 21, 2023 by BabaLama
I'm currently enrolled in an AOPS calculus class, and being a high schooler, I procrastinate a lot (not a good idea).

Last week, I procrastinated the writing problem until 10:00 PM on the day it was due (I was supposed to begin earlier but I had a lot of homework that day :( ). Luckily I finished it, but I noticed that I was able to still work on my solution even after midnight (I worked on it until like 1 AM).

Just curious, does anyone know how long after the official deadline of 12:00 AM could you edit your writing problem?

k [Unresolved] Preview for Latex not showing in Calculus course
Atoms789   5
N Dec 20, 2022 by jlacosta
Summary of the problem: The preview for the Latex shows in all other courses, except the Calculus courses.
Page URL: Any Calculus course homework
Steps to reproduce:
1. Go to your Calculus course in AoPS
2. Go to the homework tab
3. Type 1/3 or any other notation that would warrant a preview in LaTeX into that response box of the problem
4. Notice that no preview appears for your text
Expected behavior: A preview would render for your text in above the enter space for the answer. I have included an image of the expected behavior from my older precalculus course.
Frequency: 100%
Operating system(s): Mac OS
Browser(s), including version: Safari Version 15.6.1
Additional information: The images have been modified to remove any information that would warrant a copyright violation. The first image is of my Precalculus course and the second image is of my Calculus course.

k Sliding box doesn't work as expected.

For my writing problem in my Calculus class, the text box for the response can be adjusted with a little thingy in the bottom right corner. Using the thingy, you can extend the text box past the side of the page and make it so some of your response cannot be seen. It goes away when you save the problem and click edit again, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Thanks. :-D

edit: testing other bug
