The Texas MATHCOUNTS team has solidified its place as one of the top-performing states in national competitions, securing a record nine national championships: 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2023, 2024, and 2025. This outstanding success places Texas in elite company, alongside California, which also boasts nine national titles.

Congratulations to Shaheem Samsudeen of Rice Middle School, who claimed the individual first-place title. In the team competition, Ereckson Middle School took the top spot.
