supermarkets suck

So I'm really good at shopping and stuff
and this supermarket was like "wow, you're really good at shopping and stuff! We're going to give you a free watermelon!"
so I was like "ok cool watermelons are cool"
so I went and got the watermelon
but when I went back home, to my surprise, I found that the watermelon was rotten and disgusting.
Obviously, no one wants a disgusting watermelon. This is perfectly natural.
So I went back to the supermarket, and I complained.
"I want a refund," I said, "this watermelon serves no purpose to me and I thus do not want it."
Once again, a perfectly natural feeling.
However, the store manager came over and totally flipped out.
He took me aside, and started yelling and cursing at me, it was insane.
"Is this some sort of a joke? I don't think this is funny!"
I tried to explain that it wasn't a joke, and that I sincerely did want a refund for the watermelon.
But before I could even get a word out of my mouth, the store manager had me physically removed from the supermarket.
"Don't come back for a period of time whose length I shall not inform you of!" he says, "then I'll let you in."
I suppose it's natural that he thought I was making a joke, after all, I had fooled around in the supermarket fairly recently, but I still think it's a little unfair that he would just kick me out like that for asking a perfectly natural question.
