March Madness

by EpicSkills32, Mar 21, 2015, 11:20 PM

Everyone go ham

Cool I (and you!) can watch it here
oh btw links are kinda messed up (as is much of the CSS). If you hover over the "here" it should be clickable.

When it gets to Sweet Sixteen I'll start making predictions. btw I think Kentucky is going to win.

Stanford Splash signups are going on. chocolate9 you better be there.

So remember last summer on my normal blog I shared a bunch of "inspiring" stuff, which included a lot of HALO? Well HALO, along with its spinoff stuff, has a bunch of really meaningful stuff in its storyline and whatnot.

Recently I found that list of "good" cut scenes right? Well after watching the ending cut scene to Metal Gear Solid: Guns of Patriots, I went and wiki'd the whole series. I have to say that the MGS series is even better than HALO in terms of meaning, plot, etc.

Metal Gear Solid has such a good storyline; just go wiki it. The character development is all so good; you'll probably have to go either play the game or watch cut scenes to see. hm but the cut scenes are soooo good. There are so many amazing quotes; I'll share some.

Note: Most of the MGS games are rated M (mature).

Too bad it's not 3:15 PM (now it's 5:40 for me)

Anyway continuing with the SAT breakdown from yesterday

CR

Math

Hm my hype songs from Friday night were mostly forgotten on Saturday morning.
However, everyone may be glad to hear that Blank Space was encountered around section 5 and disappeared rather seamlessly. Too bad though, I tried to play 300 Violin Orchestra in my head but my efforts were fruitless. Nice that Strength of a Thousand Men is rather ingrained in my head :)

Well BAMO awards were today and the average age of the youth there was probably somewhere in the elementary age range. BAMO stuff:
-linpaws OP
-Petaminx OP
-briantix is right: view from MSRI is amazing
-briantix's mom took us totally Fast and Furious up and down that mountain w00t very exciting. Stick shift too so kudos to her.
-Pizza > tea sandwiches (note: strictly greater than)
-Gabriel Carroll is a boss.
-lol 85 students at Gunn? I think not. Apparently 35 can be misread as 85 so be careful with your 3's folks.
-wait wut I got 3 points for #4 but only 0 and 1 points for #2 and #3 respectively. How is that possible considering I spent at least 1.5 hours combined on #2/3 but only about 5 minutes on #4. . . hm. . .

Hope we play dodgeball tonight but darn I have a headache musta been the roller-coaster no wait the car ride.

What now

by EpicSkills32, Mar 13, 2015, 8:55 PM

Hey guys (->guyz->goiz)
It's me!

I'm not going to be too active on AoPS (at least compared to before) anymore. It has a little to do with the site change, but more so other things.

I'm probably going to post more here (on this blog) because I have trouble loading my original blog.
Thanks everyone for the 1.38 million or so views on Seems though.
I'm also planning on posting on my Wordpress blog more. To those of you AoPSers who know it (hm that's like 3 of you) I'm ok with you reading it, and I guess I'm ok with some more people reading it but I don't want all of AoPS reading it. Maybe when I feel like it I'll share the link here again.

Well I'm taking the SAT (again) tomorrow and I'm going to read Fahrenheit 451 today in hopes of gaining another essay example source.

Something somewhat interesting: currently I'm having a debate discussion on Google+ with an atheist. I say discussion because, although we do have opposing viewpoints, we're basically just having a friendly conversation about this stuff. The experience has so far been productive and I feel like I'm not wasting my time nor is he. We've both expressed our thoughts on how it's actually going pretty well, and I feel encouraged that I've been able to talk with someone who won't insult or belittle his opponent in a conversation like this. Hopefully everything works out for the greater good (!).

-eh this blog is a lot less organized than Seems-

A few nights ago I found a list of the "best" cut scenes from video games and I would like to share some of them here; unfortunately a lot of the video games are rated M and the scenes contain material that probably doesn't belong on AoPS. However, I can't believe how awesome (for lack of a better word) some of the clips are. I really love how God and His being is in so much of our culture, our relationships, and even within the human psyche itself. Even in the most intense circumstances God's essence shines through. I <3 it. It's so sad that people see this love and epicness all around them, even in the darkest places and yet they don't realize it. And they think there's no such thing as God, fate, or a meaning to life.
Some of the cut scenes were so good: I was like gonna cry. I'll provide links later.

My tastes in electronic music went through a turbulent metamorphosis within the past weeks, and I'm now into some trap. While YouTube was blocked I also spent sometime on Soundcloud and ended up listening to a lot of Skillet. "Comatose" is pretty good.

Spag Heddy is an extremely underrated electronic artist.
The DotEXE (Dopest Dope) remix of One Minute from Krewella is...dope. Too bad the lyrics are meh.
Speaking of DotEXE, he is now officially one of my favorite edm artists. (One Minute remix and Battle Cry)
Tristam and Braken have a new song; I posted it on my Wordpress.
I listened/watched Skrillex Bangarang and I actually liked it. Apparently people think Tut Tut Child Maelstrom is better.
All of Muzzy's songs sound the same. . . but that sound is good XD

Looking over my recent bookmarks: I also finally learned the name of a piece of music known as 300 Violin Orchestra. That stuff is epic.

I keep finding/hearing stories about super smart people. sigh* why do I feel so insecure about this stuff. hm I must be good at taking IQ tests because I took some online and got way higher scores than my actual IQ (I think).

Killball is next Friday yay.
EDIT: oh lol it's Friday the 13th.

Well Ima go prep for SAT now cya.
