My Schools Math Team

Monday, we had our math team meet at my middle school. My dad is the main coach, and my mom helped also. There is one thing I need to make clear. EVERYONE NOW KNOWS NEGATIVE NUMBERS!!!!!

There is a huge difference in the group I was in in 6th grade and the group that is coming in now. Most of the people now are 6th graders (I'm going to 8th) and do not have the best foundations in math. However, with a little work, they could probably get to be pretty good. I don't know if my school will ever be able to win the state mathcounts round again
, but you never know
. Not very much difficult material was covered (well, I did some old AHSME's), but now, I think some of the students think that they can do the problems and are more keen to come back
We go from 12:00 to 3:00 and have pizza and some other stuff to eat. This makes it much nicer to go to. The big problem, though, was that the janitors decided to close down the half of the school we were in, so we had to end an hour early.
The problem I posted in Getting Started (still no solution) is one my dad and I made up for the group. My dad also gives them old MOEM's problems and mathcounts warm-ups and work-outs for practice.
What kinds of math groups does everyone else have?
