i should probably write a non-spam post its been so long since i last wrote one so here we go ig
lasa has been rly stressful oop. ton of hw and im only in freshman year :skull: im cooked lol. anyway ive managed to keep my grades above 90 but i feel like that might change soon
its taken out a lot of free time to do math so i havent been grinding :badge: and i still havent applied for otis so ig im just not doing it this year
(i think i used too many emojis in that paragraph) anyway back to school stuff:
1st period biology: a lot of people are getting cooked in bio but i have the good teacher so xooks. hasnt been too much work in the class and i think i got 100 on the test which is good. i feel like its going to get harder tho and i might get cooked.
2nd period piano: free class, not much to say here, everyone in the class is beginner so i just do whatever i want. some links to the pieces that im playing rn: chopin liszt
3rd/7th period scitech: everyone gets cooked in this class but i have a bad teacher so im even more cooked oops. its basically an engineering class but we havent learned physics yet so its kind of skull. the gradings really harsh and it also kind of depends on whos in your group, if you get a bad grade its not really your fault. its also really stressful because the class is every day (lasa uses a blocked schedule so i have 1-4 on A days and 5-8 on B days, this class is the only class on both days so i often have to complete everything the night its assigned) my grade is ok rn but its def about to go down to like 80 oops
4th period world geo: this class is somewhat hard but its def manageable. the map quizzes arent that hard but were in the middle of a project rn and i might be a bit cooked. hopefully its fine tho
5th period chinese: the chinese level is not that hard (chinese 3) but theres so much hw bruh. half my time is just spent on this hw that isnt even hard just time consuming. and we just started a project and uhh yeah were cooked. its interesting hearing non-native speakers learning chinese though (*cough cough* inaccurate pronunciation *cough cough*)
6th period precal: could be a lot worse. content is trivial and a bunch of busy work but at least i have a friend in that class so its not hyper-boring. not much to say here
8th period english: its so over lol. if half of my hw is on chinese the other half is this class. my writing isnt too bad but holy XOOKS i am so slow at it. i constantly spend 30 minutes thinking about what to write next, 30 minutes actually writing it, then i end up reading it again and i think its bad so i spend another 30 minutes revising it. then i read over it and it still sounds bad so i delete it. fun. anyway my teacher isnt a bad teacher but she never grades anything until the last day so i dont even know how well im doing :skull:
anyway lasa math is really badge (apparently only 65% of students at lasa are "proficient" at math compared to 98%+ for other subjects, and there arent many comp math people in the school which is norz. theres one mopper (jndd xorz) and one other oly qual afaik (also very orz; rbo does not have aops fsr) which is really low for a school which is supposed to be really good.
in conclusion going to lasa is not the greatest for comp math :/ oop.
