Too bad it's not 3:15 PM (now it's 5:40 for me)
Anyway continuing with the SAT breakdown from yesterday

Hm my hype songs from Friday night were mostly forgotten on Saturday morning.
However, everyone may be glad to hear that Blank Space was encountered around section 5 and disappeared rather seamlessly. Too bad though, I tried to play 300 Violin Orchestra in my head but my efforts were fruitless. Nice that Strength of a Thousand Men is rather ingrained in my head
Well BAMO awards were today and the average age of the youth there was probably somewhere in the elementary age range. BAMO stuff:
-linpaws OP
-Petaminx OP
-briantix is right: view from MSRI is amazing
-briantix's mom took us totally Fast and Furious up and down that mountain w00t very exciting. Stick shift too so kudos to her.
-Pizza > tea sandwiches (note: strictly greater than)
-Gabriel Carroll is a boss.
-lol 85 students at Gunn? I think not. Apparently 35 can be misread as 85 so be careful with your 3's folks.
-wait wut I got 3 points for #4 but only 0 and 1 points for #2 and #3 respectively. How is that possible considering I spent at least 1.5 hours combined on #2/3 but only about 5 minutes on #4. . . hm. . .
Hope we play dodgeball tonight but darn I have a headache musta been theroller-coaster no wait the car ride.

The Critical Reading stuff was a bit tedious and relatively the same level of difficulty as last time. By "critical reading" I mean the passage analysis sections. The vocabulary questions were pretty easy this time: the only two words I had trouble with were "obsequiousness" and "euphemism."
Darn I've learned both of those.
I was really confused when I saw the question with the former as a choice. Basically I needed a word that meant "rebellion." However, I saw both "obsequiousness" and "insubordination." . . . 2 words that mean "rebellion" . . .or so I thought. I was pretty sure, from spending time on Quizlet, that "obsequious" means stubborn or troublesome, so I concluded that the -ness suffix made it "stubbornness" which unfortunately means pretty much the same thing as "insubordination." Eh what a predicament both of these words mean rebellion. . . .
Or do they?
Well I went with the word I was more sure of: I put E for insubordination.
When I got home I looked up the word and it turns out "obsequiousness" actually means "fawningly attentive." lol
At the test I had gotten this word confused with "obstreperous" and "obdurate."
For the "euphemism" question, it was one of those questions asking for what rhetorical device could be found in the paragraph. Thankfully, I was able to narrow it down to two (or was it just one) other choices.
hm but "someone's tales that get taller with each telling" -- is that personification? idk but it's not a euphemism, or a polite way of saying something.

Math
Again much better than December. First off there wasn't some dumb experimental section with ridiculously hard SAT math. (Flashback December: struggled through a math section that I couldn't finish in time limit -> probably missed a problem or two -> didn't answer one -> didn't even attempt one -> meh >> After the test I realized that that was the experimental section, but it pretty much screwed me up for the rest of the test as I was so depressed and even more stressed from it. sigh*)
Well this time I finished each math section well before the time limit. Unless I derped something up really badly (like on PSAT nououo noouou) should be same score as December.
One problem worth mentioning:
A vertical line intersects the graphs of y=3x+5 and y=3x-2. What is the distance between the points of intersection?
lol when my eyes first went over this I was like "oh wow a cool problem that's somewhat challenging!" Unfortunately I was mistaken: in my brief overview/prediction I had missed the word "vertical." I was about to set off in finding the distance of a perpendicular line between them when I re-read the problem and saw the "vertical"
\darn \nvm \derp \sigh*
Oh another one involved a parabola
and for some reason finding the vertex /darn can't remember why/. When I first saw it I was like "hey hey I can use calculus" until my brain auto-solved and the numbers (2,-3) popped into my head. wups.
