AMC 10 Preparation over 6 months
raresillypanther   27
Hi, I'm currently in 8th grade and I have about 6 months left to prepare for the AMC 10, and I really want to qualify for AIME and get above a 100. I took the AMC 8 this year and did really bad, with a score of 16, and a 35 on the MATHCOUNTS Chapter test. I have a feeling I would get about a 70 on the AMC 10 now, so I want to be able to improve by 30 points in 6 months. Is that possible? I have summer break coming up so I feel like I could study for about 4 hours a day every single day, and I'm willing to if that's what it takes. Do you have any ideas for what resources I should use? I know about Alcumus and I have some of the AOPS books, but not all of them. If you have any tips, let me know. Thank you so much!

inequalities of elements in set
toanrathay   0
Let \( m \) be a positive integer such that \( m \geq 4 \), and let the set
\[
A = \{a_1, a_2, a_3, \ldots, a_m\}
\]consist of distinct positive integers not exceeding 2025. Suppose that for every \( a, b \in A \), with \( a \ne b \), if \( a + b \leq 2025 \), then \( a + b \in A \) as well. Prove that

\[
\frac{a_1 + a_2 + a_3 + \cdots + a_m}{m} \geq 1013.

The function $f: \mathbb{Z}_{>0} \times \mathbb{Z}_{>0} \to \mathbb{Z}_{>0}$ is such that $f(a,b) + f(b,c) = f(ac, b^2) + 1$ for any positive integers $a,b,c$. Assume there exists a positive integer $n$ such that $f(n, m) \leq f(n, m + 1)$ for all positive integers $m$. Determine all possible values of $f(2025, 2025)$.

Introducing myself at AoPS, and what's your magic wand?
asuth_asuth   937
Hi!

I'm Andrew Sutherland. I'm the new Chief Product Officer at AoPS. As you may have read, Richard is retiring and Ben Kornell and I are working together to lead the company now. I'm leading all the software and digital stuff at AoPS. I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself! I'm really excited to be part of the special community that is AoPS.

Previously, I founded Quizlet as a 15-year-old high school student. I did Course 6 at MIT and then left to lead Quizlet full-time for a total of 14 years. I took a few years off and now I'm doing AoPS! I wrote more about all that on my blog: https://asuth.com/im-joining-aops

I have a question for all of you. If you could wave a magic wand, and change anything about AoPS, what would it be? All suggestions welcome! Thank you.

k Alcumus Error
AtlantisHSK2   4
Hi I've been doing pre 2 (I'm almost done), however I am having a problem with the alcumus that is integrated into the program. I have finished these alcumus sections well over 3 times, but after a few days they display that they're unfinished, I was wondering whether this was a bug and if there is some way to fix it.
