1. Consider the figure in 4-space bounded by the hyperplanes $x = \pm 1, y = \pm 1,z = \pm 1,w = \pm 1$ .

If a hyperplane has normal vector $\langle 1,2,3,4\rangle$ and divides this figure into two congruent figures, find its volume.

2. Consider the abooga in 4-space defined by the equation $x^2 + y^2 + z^2 + w^2 = 1$ . 5 points $P_1,P_2,P_3,P_4,P_5$ are placed on this figure such that for any $i_1,j_1,i_2,j_2$ , $P_{i_1}P_{j_1} = P_{i_2}P_{j_2}$ . If an ant on this abooga walks from $P_1$ to $P_2$ , what is the shortest possible length of its path?
