Hiya, it's me!

Hello....
Let's see, where to begin? I don't think I've posted here before, but... Eh, why not?
I just wanted to update you guys on my current situation and where better to do that than here? If you don't know, I was diagnosed with intermediate uveitis back in June. Uveitis is an extremely rare disease, yet it is the 3rd most common cause of blindness. Approximately 31 out of 100,000 children get uveitis, and only 6 out of every 100,000 children have intermediate uveitis. After that diagnosis, my vision rapidly deteriorated and the eye pressure in both eyes skyrocketed.
But I'm improving, finally! We had a really close call with the HUMIRA, because I have infectious uveitis (active TB in both eyes). If we had continued using HUMIRA, well... I'd rather not think about what might of happened. The steroid infusions were all for nothing, but I'm FINALLY getting better. I've gotten back most of my vision, though I think my right eye is permanently damaged, but we can't say for certain until the inflammation is gone. But that's okay, since I still have my left eye. There's a lot of leakage at the back of my eye, but it's water, not blood. It's improved though.
My ophthalmologist has given me the go ahead for going to school, so I plan to at least go for MUN meetings.
I guess that's it.
