Erich Owen is the illustrator for Beast Academy. He joined Beast Academy in 2011. Erich has been drawing since he was old enough to hold a crayon, and has put that experience to good use in his 14 years as a professional illustrator. He is the co-creator and illustrator of the internationally-published graphic novel and comic strip series Mail Order Ninja, about a 10-year-old boy and his mail-order ninja (naturally), which won First Place in the 2005 Tokyopop “Rising Stars of Manga” competition. Erich also had the privilege of working with William Shatner on a comic book series based on Mr. Shatner's TekWar novels and TV series.
