: It is possible (you do something like <nowiki>[[Main page#section title]]</nowiki>), but Cartesian products are an important basic idea and so reasonably deserving of their own page.  I think it makes more sense to put a small section on them in the page for [[set]]s and link that page here (I think the template for that is something like <nowiki>{{main|Cartesian product}}</nowiki>, but I'm not positive) than the reverse.  --[[User:JBL|JBL]] 09:17, 29 January 2008 (EST)

Would it not be better to redirect this page to the "operations" section of the Set page? I don't know if we can link to a section of a page instead of the article itself.

It is possible (you do something like [[Main page#section title]]), but Cartesian products are an important basic idea and so reasonably deserving of their own page. I think it makes more sense to put a small section on them in the page for sets and link that page here (I think the template for that is something like {{main|Cartesian product}}, but I'm not positive) than the reverse. --JBL 09:17, 29 January 2008 (EST)
