The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is a private university well known for its excellence in math and science education. It is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, which is also the home of Harvard University. The two schools collaborate to host the Harvard-MIT Mathematics Tournament, whose site alternates between MIT and Harvard. Students at each school are able to take classes at the other.
