Hi Azjps,  thanks for the cones!  Two (hopefully minor) requests: right now, both cones seem really large.  It is possible to make them smaller or put them in a box to the side or something?  Also, in the oblique cone, the segment labeled <math>r</math> shouldn't be, but it might be nice to include an actual radius of the circle in the picture, too.

Hi, the boxes are very nice.  However, it really is excessive to have a category for each contest, don't you think?  If you want a problem from the AIME for a certain year, you go to the page 1984 AIME Problems/Problem 2 or something—it's already pretty well organized that way.  The category "Math Contest Problems" gets you to any contest's directory of problems on the wikiIf you want problems from a certain subject area, you use categories like Olympiad Geometry Problems, Intermediate Number Theory Problems, Introductory Algebra Problems. &mdash;Boy Soprano II 14:30, 3 April 2007 (EDT)

Hi Azjps, you've been doing a lot of nice workI have one minor recurring complaint: you begin a lot of articles with a phrase like, "An invariant refers to ...."  This doesn't make senseThere are (at least) two possible alternatives: one is, "The term invariant refers to ..." and the other is, "An invariant is ...."  I personally prefer the latter, as it's substantially more directAnyhow, this is obviously not a huge deal, but I just thought I'd mention it.  --JBL 23:38, 2 March 2010 (UTC)

I've been on this website many times before and need help with some maths questions. I wasn't sure who to ask for help, so I just chose an admin.

When you create a redirect from a blank article (e.g. internally tangent) to an article to which it is vaguely related (e.g. tangent line), you actually do a disservice: anyone who comes across the link to "internally tangent" won't realize that there actually is no article there, and anyone who clicks on the link will be sent to a place they don't really want to be.  If you aren't going to write a stub, just leave it empty.  --JBL 18:22, 28 April 2007 (EDT)

Well here are two problems I need help with:

:Good point, though I guess its not as bad as calling a dodecahedron a 12-sided polygon. (I’ll stick to the USAMO as my excuse). I was thinking more of redirecting the variations of tangent to a page like tangent (geometry), and when I saw the tangent disambiguation page I figured I would redirect it to tangent line and someday move that article to tangent (geometry). By the way, is there anything better we can put for contradiction outside of proof by contradiction? <font style="font-family:Georgia,sans-serif">Azjps (<font color="green">talk</font>)</font> 15:15, 1 May 2007 (EDT)

You copied it from wikipedia? Meh, still pretty nice find. But I thought we were not allowed to copy from GNU sites, as AoPS doesn't agree to that license. Unless it's from MediaWiki originally? Temperal 20:43, 17 September 2007 (EDT)

Well, if we could get that specific, we would have such obscure categories like Intermediate Group Theory Problems, Olympiad Graph Theory Problems, etc.

Everything would get quite cluttered. I think it's best to keep to the basic cover-all categories. Temperal<span style="color:red"><small>xy</small></span> 15:49, 1 December 2007 (EST)

I was going through that particular AMC 10 (I had done it for practice and was checking my answers), when I noticed I was somehow on an AMC 12 page. I was pretty confused, and it took almost ten minutes for me to figure out what had happened. If you can post a notice on the page explaining it for users who may be confused by the mixup, then I'll agree with you. "Refers to"

Hi Azjps, you've been doing a lot of nice work. I have one minor recurring complaint: you begin a lot of articles with a phrase like, "An invariant refers to ...." This doesn't make sense. There are (at least) two possible alternatives: one is, "The term invariant refers to ..." and the other is, "An invariant is ...." I personally prefer the latter, as it's substantially more direct. Help

I've been on this website many times before and need help with some maths questions. I wasn't sure who to ask for help, so I just chose an admin.

Well here are two problems I need help with:

1. Given five distinct points A, B, C, P, Q in the plane, no three are collinear. Prove that AB + BC + CA + PQ < AP + AQ + BP + BQ + CP + CQ. 2. (p, q) is the gcd of p and q. Find all positive integers x, y, z such that x+y = (x, y)^2 y+z = (y, z)^2 z+x = (z, x)^2

Thanks! Can you tell me a bit about how the wiki works? I'm not really sure and it's so big I don't really know what to do.
