QuestBridge selects bright and motivated low-income students for scholarship opportunities based on academic, financial, and other criteria.
- Academic criteria - factors include GPA, class rank, rigor of high school curriculum, standardized test scores ("Finalists score an average of 1940 on the SAT or 30 on the ACT"), essays, teacher recommendations, and the secondary school report
- Financial criteria - factors include annual household income ("Most College Match scholarship recipients have come from households earning less than <dollar/>60,000 annually.") and additional information such as cost of living in the area or number of people in household
- Other criteria - parents' level of education, extenuating circumstances, and other achievements
Requirements
- Submit test scores to partner colleges.
- Graduate from high school during/before spring/summer and plan to enroll as a freshman in fall.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (some schools have exceptions)
Amount
- Tuition costs up to <dollar/>40,000 per year
- Room and board costs up to <dollar/>15,000 per year

- A work-study package and/or summer work for other expenses
