Barrington Middle School is a school in Barrington, Rhode Island that participates in the Rhode Island MathCounts Competition.
BMS frequently does well at the RI State Competition, and generally places in the top 2. Since 2007, it has won a total of 3 state championships-2007, 2008, 2011.
The coach for the state competitions up to and including 2011 was Dr. Saeja Kim. When the team won states, she declined coaching the team for nationals, and the coach is now Meg Medeiros.
Up until the 2011 state competition, Barrington Middle School decided its school team through an official school competition that determined top 4 based purely on written scores. As of now, it is unkown what method will be used to determine the school team in the future. (2012 season on)
