Calculus is the branch of mathematics that covers dividing by zero. It teaches how to measure the rate of change of Functions.

The Integral and Derivative are the main elements of calculus.

The use of calculus in pre-collegiate mathematics competitions in generally frowned upon. However, many physics competitions require it.

Calculus also looks at the long term and micro-cosmic behaviour of functions.
