For integration by parts, is the mnemonic for what type of function to substitute u for LIATE or ILATE? In the calculus book I've used, it said LIATE, but on wikipedia it said ILATE. Is it important? -quantum leap

It's a mnemonic that gives you advice on how to solve a problem. Should it be in the article at all? It has little mathematical value. —Boy Soprano II 22:55, 5 September 2006 (EDT)
