Is there a mistake with this answer key? It defines the union of a Venn diagram as the sum of all elements in A and B, but a union is actually all elements in the whole diagram. I think this is the correct answer:

Let x be the number of elements in A and B. 2x=2007-1001 2x=1006 x=503

So the answer is (A) 503. Please correct me if I'm wrong :)
