The Irish Mathematical Olympiad (IrMO) is a national mathematics contest for Irish secondary school students.

Format

The IrMO is a 12 question (2 Papers of 6 questions), 6 hour (Split between the two papers) test. Calculators are not permitted.

Curriculum

The IrMO tests mathematical problem solving with Algebra, Number Theory, Discrete Mathematics, Inequalities, and Geometry and other secondary school math topics. Problems are designed to be solvable by students without any background in calculus.
