The Beestar National Math Competition (About BNC) is a semiannual online mathematics competition designed for grade school students across the United States.

Format and Structure:

The BNC consists of two rounds:

**Dash Round**: 
  - 40 fundamental questions in 4 sections
  - Total of 80 points
  - Takes place on Monday and Tuesday of the competition week
  - Recommended time: at least 60 minutes
**Spark Round**: 
  - 20 challenging questions in 4 sections
  - Total of 80 points
  - Takes place on Wednesday and Thursday of the competition week
  - Recommended time: at least 60 minutes

The competition begins on Monday and concludes on Thursday at 11:59 p.m. CST

Participation and Eligibility:

- Open to students from 2nd to 8th grade
- Held every fall and spring semester
- Registration fee is approximately $12 per student
- Parents or teachers are expected to register students online
