"QuestBridge is a non-profit program that links bright, motivated low-income students with educational and scholarship opportunities at some of the nation's best colleges." Students are selected based on academic, financial, and other criteria.

  • Academic criteria - factors include GPA, class rank, rigor of high school curriculum, standardized test scores ("Finalists score an average of 1940 on the SAT or 30 on the ACT"), essays, teacher recommendations, and the secondary school report
  • Financial criteria - factors include annual household income ("Most College Match scholarship recipients have come from households earning less than <dollar/>60,000 annually.") and additional information such as cost of living in the area or number of people in household
  • Other criteria - parents' level of education, extenuating circumstances, and other achievements

Requirements

  • Submit test scores to partner colleges.
  • Graduate from high school during/before spring/summer and plan to enroll as a freshman in fall.
  • "Only U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents are eligible to receive College Match scholarships to partner colleges, with the exception of Brown, Pomona, Princeton, and Yale. Students who are not U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents can still use the QuestBridge application, be chosen as QuestBridge finalists, and participate in the Regular Decision process. "

Amount

"All scholarships include:

  • Full cost of tuition: up to <dollar/>40,000 per year, depending on the college.
