Some pages are protected on the AoPSWiki, since they serve to introduce new people to the AoPSWiki. Normally, the prima facie to a certain webpage serves whether or not that person will remain on that website. Therefore, in order to prevent frequent vandalism on important pages of the AoPSWiki, they have been locked.
