MathPath is a mathematics summer program for students aged 11 through 14 lasting four weeks. A qualifying test is necessary to gain admission. MathPath is centered around mathematical exploration. It is generally located on a different college campus each year.

The fee is $4500, but there are merit scholarships and financial aid. For the 2011 program, financial aid can reduce the fee to $0, depending on family income. For details about financial support, see the MathPath Fees Webpage.

During the years 2020 and 2021, MathPath was held virtual due to COVID-19.

History

George Rubin Thomas founded MathPath in 2002 as a math program for students aged 11 to 14. The name MathPath was suggested by Professor John Conway, who had been a guest lecturer at the camp since 2002 but since left. MathPath 2022 was located at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts.
