The Purple Comet! Math Meet is a free, annual, international, on-line, team, mathematics contest for middle and high school students. Run from the web site purplecomet.org, it is a joint project by the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater and the University of Texas at Dallas.

Each team competing needs an adult supervisor who registers at the web site and then signs up as many teams as they want. Each team may have as many as six students. Middle School teams have 60 minutes to solve 15 problems. High School teams have 90 minutes to solve 25 problems. Teams compete any time during a seven-day window.

The contest is in English, but problem translations are provided in many languages. Registered teams may work previous contests for practice.
