Revision as of 00:37, 26 April 2013

PowerOfPi joined AoPS on April 30, 2009. He owns a blog named Math World which has a mixture of math and his thoughts.

PowerOfPi is an 11th grader who started competition math with the 2008 AMC 8 (in seventh grade), and ever since enjoyed math. He also enjoys chess, soccer, science, and programming.

AoPS Forum

PowerOfPi has contributed to a few resources on the AoPS forum, listed below. He isn't very active at the moment, though.

  • Tip of the Week - a new concept for middle school competition math was discussed every week
  • Problem of the Day - started and mostly maintained by isabella2296
  • MMC - with a few other users, another mock MathCounts competition ranging from School to State level

Math Competitions

PowerOfPi has participated in MathCounts, the AMC series, USAMTS, Purple Comet, Math Kangaroo, ARML, and other local competitions. He has some overall goals as well as goals for specific competitions and years.
