Why did you insert the word "likely" into the Putnam page: "a school whose team members placed 1st, 2nd and 20th would likely place lower than a school whose team members placed 6th, 7th and 8th"? --JBL 11:06, 14 July 2006 (EDT)

Because it is likely, but not guaranteed. They sum the scores, not the ranks, right? --13:12, 14 July 2006 (EDT)
