Competition Format

Anyone that is in 11th grade or under can participate in the WSMO. The WSMO is a team competition, and you can have up to 3 people in a team. Problems in the WSMO range from AMC 8 to AIME level. The WSMO consists of three rounds, the Speed Round, Accuracy Round, and Team Round

Speed Round

The speed round consists of 10 problems that are to be solved in 10 minutes individually. These questions range from AMC 8 to AMC 10 level.

Accuracy Round

The accuracy round consists of 10 problems that are to be solved in 25 minutes individually. These questions range from late AMC 8 to AIME level.

Team Round

The team round consists of 15 problems that are to be solved in 45 minutes with your team. These questions range from late AMC 8 level to AIME level.
