BBCode math tags

by sonone, Jun 3, 2020, 9:04 PM

I was experimenting with BBCode tags in AoPS and found this cool one: $$\verb|[math]<enter here>[/math]|$$It works just like you where typing in a $\text{\LaTeX}$ document! Example: These are the math tags. As you see, they automatically center. To skip a line, do $\backslash\backslash$.\\ I \\ Am\\ Skipping \\ Lines.\\ Otherwise, the text will automatically skip lines. To size text, use the sizing commands, {\Huge Huge}, {\huge huge}, {\LARGE LARGE}, { \Large Large}, {\large large}, {\normalsize normalsize}, {\small small}, {\footnotesize footnotesize}, {\scriptsize scriptsize}, {\tiny tiny}. If you can do it in a LaTeX document without extra packages, you can do it here. See the layout section of AoPS's $\text {\LaTeX}$ tutorial for more information. Enjoy! $\LARGE\smiley$

I believe that people used to use the [math] tags in an older version of AoPS before they implemented the $ functionality for LaTeX.

• I modified your dodecahedron and got:
[asy]
import three;
import solids;
size(300);
currentprojection=orthographic(0,1.3,1.2);
light(0,5,10);

real phi=(sqrt(6)+1)/3;
real g=(phi-1)/2;
real s=1/2;
real a=sqrt(1-phi*phi/4-g*g)+phi/2;

triple[] d;
d[0]=(phi
