nooo dw you're fine - I did not improve at all from 2022 amcs all the way until july 2023
I'll just recommend you to start slow by doing 1-2 amc problems per day. try to grasp some concepts first and warm up - start from 2001 amcs and do 1-2 problems per day. as you progress, do ~5 problems per day and eventually more and more

honestly the thing is that i don't know how solving problems is going to improve you. i solve, i understand, i come back--the second i do, i realize that i can't solve it again. i feel like i have too many dreams but not enough dedication
honestly helena don't worry too much about aime you have the passion and that's really all i think you need. the rest i think will come with the flow, though i expected myself to be the last person to ever say "go with the flow"

nice post
maybe study books like aops or awesomemath or whatever other books
also if you're stuck on a problem, you could ask a friend to read the solution and give you a hint (or if you don't have friends, give the solution to chat gpt to give you a hint)
also whenever I mess up on a problem / don't solve a problem, I write down my mistake / what I missed in a notebook, and review the notebook before doing a mock.
also, doing problems above your skill level using hints
and reading solutions to really hard problems
and writing down theorems/concepts in a notebook
