With AoPS Academy, Art of Problem Solving brings its curriculum and pedagogical techniques to the physical classroom. AoPS Academy currently has 10 campus locations in major cities in California, Washington, Texas, Maryland, Massachusetts, North Carolina, New Jersey, and Virginia.

AoPS Academy Virtual Campus
In 2020, AoPS Academy launched a brand new way of bringing our math classes to students remotely with our Virtual Campus. Just like our traditional AoPS Academy experience, our range of course offerings allow students the opportunity to explore new interests while strengthening their problem-solving and critical thinking skills through a completely remote classroom.

AoPS Online is our original online education experience, and is independent from AoPS Academy. Using our unique online classroom to facilitate interactive discussion, AoPS Online offers rigorous, high-quality math curriculum and online classes for middle and high school students, introductory programming courses, and specialty courses to prepare students for particular math and science competitions.
Course Instructor Positions
AoPS Online is always looking for more passionate instructors to join the team. Visit our Instructor Page to
meet our team! AoPS instructors have outstanding teaching skills and love working with students
who are as passionate about learning as they are. Most instructors have masters or PhD's in math or STEM
related fields, and are usually experienced high school or university instructors in real life.
Instructors guide students through lessons in real-time, online sessions. The majority of classes run once per week from 7:20 - 9 pm ET (4:20 - 6 pm PT). Lesson plans are already written, so prepping usually takes less than an hour. The classes are conducted using a combination of text and LaTeX; there is no video or audio. Grader, Halper, and Teaching Assistant Positions
Educating the world's brightest students takes an equally talented and dedicated staff. Our online
positions are an excellent opportunity for developing mentoring skills and earning money remotely
in a flexible, convenient fashion. We offer math, Python, chemistry, and physics.
In this role, you can choose to do any of the following tasks:
Thousands of writing problems are collected every week. Graders provide guidance and personalized feedback about what the student did well and how they can improve. Grading can be done at any time.
Halping (Message Board Mentor)
Our halpers guide students on our message boards by providing hints and encouragement when students post questions about homework. Halping can be done at any time.
Our teaching assistants supplement students’ learning experiences by answering questions in real time during our live classes. Classes run from 7:20 - 9:00 pm ET (4:20 - 6:00 pm PT) and are conducted using a combination of text and LaTeX; there is no video or audio.
- Starting pay rates are $15 to $20 per hour depending on how long you work, and can lead to promotions to more involved roles at higher rates.
- Positions are highly flexible and can be performed anywhere with a stable internet connection.

- Must be 18 or older
- Strong command of the material (math, Python, chemistry, or physics)
- Good English writing skills
