The following list of D.C. Area scholarships is primarily for students in the national capital area, which includes D.C., parts of Maryland, and parts of Virginia. Students should check the specific scholarship to make sure their county is eligible.

- AFCEA NOVA Scholarship for undergraduate or graduate students living in the D.C. Area (D.C., Maryland, Virginia) website

- Junior Achievement Essay Competition for students in the National Capital area only (D.C., Maryland, Virginia)
- Central Scholarship Bureau scholarships and grants for Maryland and D.C. students only website
- Posse Foundation Scholarship for students living in select cities (D.C. area) who show leadership and academic potential and are nominated by their high schools. Participating universities include Boston University, Pepperdine University, Pomona College, UC Berkeley, UCLA, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, University of Pennsylvania, University of Southern California, and many other schools as listed here.
