Talk:Pascal's triangle
I added some more content, and I think I messed up the image...I am used to images on Wikipedia, but AoPS has the little sidebar on the right, so images render differently when aligned right. Is there a workaround? And if someone can figure out a better way to display this image, please fix it! --Sean 15:08, 23 June 2006 (EDT)
I propose starting row and column count with 0 so as to make things work out more naturally. What do others say? --ComplexZeta 15:50, 23 June 2006 (EDT)
ComplexZeta: Very much agreed. I've never seen it done the other way. --Dschafer 17:49, 23 June 2006 (EDT)
Well I have an interesting propety. If you color the odd entries of the Pascal's Triangle , you get the Sierpinski Gasket. So Sean add that. You might want to see [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sierpinski_gasket ] --Vihang
Divs/tables vs. wiki-syntax
At some point, the divs and tables currently used for the triangle illustrations should probably be converted to wiki-syntax tables. It's not especially urgent (given that they work fine right now), but I get the impression its best to use wiki-syntax whenever possible. --Dschafer 23:32, 24 June 2006 (EDT)
OK, I tried wiki-syntax, and it doesn't look good at all. I'm thinking now all the Pascal's Triangle diagrams should be images rather than tables. --Dschafer 10:54, 25 June 2006 (EDT)
"Pascal's Triangle" or "Pascal's triangle"
Does this qualify as a proper noun? --Dschafer 23:37, 24 June 2006 (EDT)
Sierpinski Triangle
I will add some stuff about that, as I am familiar with the topic. However, we probably should get an image first. Note that it must be original, not stolen from Wikipedia or Google Images. So if someone creates an image, and uploads to the Wiki, post a link to the image, and I will add the content. Or, better yet, add the content yourself! --Sean 10:35, 25 June 2006 (EDT)
