Talk:Principle of Inclusion-Exclusion

I forgot to write Summary. I added the statement, but it doesn't look very good.

It'll look fine after someone adds some more introductory-level information (such as citing a few simpler examples first, before jumping to the semi-general result, which will be indecipherable to a young beginner). Then it will be lower on the page and the big gap won't appear. --Rrusczyk 13:25, 18 June 2006 (EDT)

Adeel, why don't you find the link for your Mathmatical Ideas topic PDF on this and add a link? It might prove useful to anyone beginning combinatorics. --Mysmartmouth 14:35, 18 June 2006 (EDT)

5 set, wow... Btw, are you using \mid instead of just | --Joe 15:51, 2 July 2006 (EDT)

143 take scocial studies. 241 take biology. 300 take history. 213 take algebra and language arts. 264 take algebra and social studies.

He-he, how can that be possible? Someone should better check this monstrous example for other inconsistencies and misprints. Besides, the formulae run away far beyond the screen, which doesn't make it look very pretty. The last remark is that to read the entire problem is quite a boring exercise. On the other hand, it would be a pity to delete it entirely. Maybe we should settle for some 4 set one with similar content? --Fedja 12:38, 3 July 2006 (EDT)
