Z-test

A z-test is a significance test in statistics that one conducts when the population standard deviation is known. Since the population standard deviation is usually unknown, t-tests are more common.

Procedure

Step 1: Name hypotheses

Name the significance level and the side of the test($H_a>H_0, H_a<H-0, H_a\ne H_0$) These should be named before the data is gathered.

Step 2: State conditions/assumptions

The population must be normal
