My story

I Joined the AoPS community in July 2012- I've been a member for almost 4 years. I don't exactly remember how did I join, but I know that I really liked math. My mom made this account for me when I just turned 8, and i started taking Prealgebra in August-October. Now i see it was a huge mistake taking Prealgebra so early, because I was just a little kid. I was not a member of the community. Just used AoPS for classes and a little alcumus. When Ifinished Prealgebra 2( I was still 8) i left AoPS. In October 2015, my mom made me take the test to take Algebra A. I didn't want because I was not a huge fan of AoPS. I passed. In december I discovered fun factory, games and comunnity. Then I became an active member and AoPS Geek.

Recently I finished my Algebra A Class and i'm taking Counting and Probability soon. I am studying the book. I love AoPS So much that my groundings are no AoPS for a week.

How i got my username

Simple. The thing you should know is that Altamira is not my name. Altamira is the name of the street i live in, and 140 is my house number. Eh. Not my favorite username, but it is stuff. You can call me Alta. So no spelling probs.

Personal info

I am not telling you my name, obvs, but you should know that i am a girl, am 11 years old, 12 in the summer, and finishing 6th grade. (Not in math). I also am very short for my age. Done.

interests

Well, i love Math, Photography, music, art, Cooking, drawing a lot, Traveling, Reading, writing, chocolate, candy, stationary, nature, and Math.

I am starting counting and probability in August or october.

Resources

· Alcumus- I use alcumus a lot. For Online classes and just for fun. · FTW- I now use it quite a lot to train for Math olympiads and tests! · Reaper- I don't play because i don't know how. · Greed control- Not sure of how it works either... · MATHCOUNTS trainer- I use it. Not frecuently, but i love it! It is very fun and the problems are Just right. I have the app on my phone too.

As i said, i am a very active member of the community. I am thrilled to be a part of it and i have over 1100 posts.
