Problem

How many triangles are bounded by segments in the figure and contain the red triangle? (Do not include the red triangle in your total.)

Solution

We have $2$ symmetrical triangles about the right side, $3$ triangles containing $3$ sides, $2$ triangles in the middle, and $1$ triangle containing the right-two sides. The answer is $\boxed{8}$
